I read the first part of this story in Men Love Curves called Chasing Day. Then I waffled around trying to decide if I was going to break down and get the rest of the story. I despise cliff hangers in anthologies but what the heck I did it anyway. . I'm so glad I did, this story was phenomenal, loved every single minute of every page I read. I completely fell in love with Chase and Daylen. It was touching, wonderful, heart warming and of course hot too. It truly surprised me with the ups and downs in every single chapter. It had no dead places in it and read this entire story in one day, in fact, just finished it and couldn't wait to tell you about it. I GREATLY enjoyed this two book series. I got the first half in a compilation set and immediately stopped reading so I could finish it. I loved these characters, and though the plot is predictable, it was fulfilling for me. I would definitely re read.
I'm sorry but it took too long. I skipped over so many parts couldn't understand how two people who had perfection were so ready to settle. She settled with Rhy and he with Whit. Why... it's like she really had to have a man. Just couldn't say...yeah I can see that happening, yeah I get my, it was just flat.
I really liked the conclusion to series. My complaint is I don't like two part books with cliffhangers, in which reader must purchase additional book just to see what happens. I feel like this is a way to gouge us. With that said it was a good storyline with interesting characters.
I love boy next door stories. i love music, and I think many of us dreamy creative types can get behind the storyline of the handsome neighbor and introverted musician with a tough as nails mom. This is the kind of book that speaks to a young (or middle aged) woman's dreams, how life could have possibly turned out. Maybe I am just being sappy. I really did like the whole story-both Chasing Day and Catching Day.
The two book combo was definitely worth the read. I genuinely don't like cliff hangers but book two followed up exactly where book one Chasing Day left off. Each provided the foundation needed to have you rooting for Chase and Daylen. Childhood friendships that develop into adulthood romance have to be treated delicately. I appreciated the authentic ups and downs of Chase and Daylen relationship. You RESPECT it more because it showed how their foundation of friendship impacted their decision making. Through it all the had a love that weathered the storm.
This was a beautiful love story. I have stayed up all night to finish both books and I have to be up in less than 2 hours. I'm gonna hate myself bc the power nap won't be long enough but once I started reading I could not put the books down. I loved the love story of Chase and Day. It was just sweet. I loved their HEA. May we all be blessed with a LOVE like that. Just minus the 25 yrs it took them to get it together 😊. I look forward to more books like this from the author.
So I purchased this book and read it in one day. I fell in love with Chase and Day and I couldn't stop reading until I finished the book. I HATE that he got with Whitney and didn't realize what type of person she was from the start. He should of known better but I think he was just lonely and looking for companionship that didn't require him to put his all into it like he would with Day. Day and Rhys I saw that coming. I think that she was also looking for something different than what she had with Chase. They both kept their spouses at a safe distant and never let them completely in. Just imagine what Whitney would of been like if Chase actually had kids with her.... Now Day should be ashamed of herself for keeping that baby from him for so long. I understand her reasoning but though, It was definitely for the best because Whitney probably would if tried to kill the sweet Lyric and Day if she knew. In the end Chase and Daylen end up together and happy with more children. Her mom was definitely there to keep them in check and to make them recognize what was necessary when needed.
